Privacy Policy — ChoosePack.com

Effective date: January 11, 2026

Contact email: Contact@choosepack.com

This Privacy Policy explains how ChoosePack.com (“ChoosePack,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, sign up for our email list, or contact us.

1) Information we collect

A) Information you provide

We collect information you voluntarily submit, such as:

  • Email address (for downloads/newsletters)
  • Name (if you provide it)
  • Message content and details you send us (contact forms/emails)

B) Information collected automatically (website usage + device data)

When you visit the site, we (and our service providers) may collect:

  • Device and browser information (browser type, OS, device type)
  • Usage data (pages viewed, time on page, referring/exit pages, clicks)
  • Approximate location (e.g., city/region-level) derived from technical signals

2) Cookies and similar technologies

We may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and understand how visitors use it.

Google Analytics cookies

We use Google Analytics to measure website usage (e.g., which pages are read most). Google Analytics commonly uses first‑party cookies (for example, the _ga cookie) to distinguish visitors and report site usage statistics to us

You can control cookies through your browser settings (including deleting existing cookies or blocking new cookies). If you disable cookies, parts of the site may function differently.

3) Google Analytics (how it works on ChoosePack)

What Google Analytics collects (in general terms)

Google Analytics helps us understand things like:

  • Which articles are most helpful
  • How people navigate the site
  • Whether the site is performing well (page speed, engagement patterns)

Google provides documentation describing how Google Analytics uses cookies/identifiers for measurement and how visitors can control or disable measurement.

IP addresses (GA4 note)

If you are using Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Google states that GA4 does not log or store IP addresses, and (for EU-based traffic described in Google’s EU-focused documentation) any IP addresses used for coarse geolocation are discarded before logging.

How to opt out of Google Analytics measurement

Google offers a Google Analytics Opt‑out Browser Add‑on that can disable Google Analytics measurement for sites you visit (when installed and enabled).

4) No advertising tools (current status)

At this time, ChoosePack does not use advertising tools (for example, ad retargeting pixels or targeted advertising platforms). We use Google Analytics for measurement only.

If we later introduce advertising or cross-site targeting tools, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required choices/opt-outs.

5) How we use your information

We use information to:

  • Operate and maintain the website
  • Deliver downloads/newsletters you request
  • Reply to messages you send us
  • Improve content, site performance, and user experience
  • Protect against spam, abuse, and security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations

6) How we share information

We may share information in limited cases:

A) Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the site and services (for example, analytics and email delivery tools). They process data on our behalf to provide their services.

B) Legal and safety

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

C) Business transfers

If ChoosePack is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

7) Affiliate links and third‑party sites

ChoosePack may include links to third‑party websites (for example, retailers or gear brands). If you click a third‑party link, their privacy practices apply—not ours.

Some links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you purchase through them (at no additional cost to you).

8) Email communications

If you subscribe, we may email you:

  • The download you requested
  • Updates and travel/packing content

You can unsubscribe anytime using the link in the email footer.

9) Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the services you requested (e.g., newsletter delivery)
  • Maintain business records
  • Address legal, security, and operational needs

10) Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11) Children’s privacy

ChoosePack is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us and we will work to delete it.

12) Your privacy rights

A) California privacy (CCPA/CPRA) — general notice

If you are a California resident, you may have rights to request access, deletion, correction, and other rights regarding personal information, subject to exceptions.

California also recognizes opt-out preference signals like the Global Privacy Control (GPC) as a way to signal opt-out requests in contexts where “sale”/“sharing” opt-outs apply.

Important note: Because we do not currently sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, you may not need to take any opt-out action for ChoosePack at this time. If our practices change, we will update this policy and honor required opt-outs.

B) EEA/UK visitors (GDPR/UK GDPR) — general notice

If you are in the EEA or UK, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, and portability. Regulators explain that organizations generally must respond to rights requests without undue delay and typically within one month (with limited extensions for complex requests).

13) How to contact us (and exercise requests)

For privacy questions or requests (access, deletion, correction), contact:

Email: Contact@choosepack.com

We may ask for reasonable information to verify your request.

14) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the “Effective date.”
